Return & Refund Policy

At The Rum-Soaked Company, we take great pride in crafting our traditional Black Cakes. Each cake is carefully baked and packaged to ensure it reaches you (or your gift recipient) in perfect condition, ready to be the centerpiece of your celebration. 

Since our products are artisan, perishable food items, all sales are final.

We do not accept returns or issue refunds for purchases once they have been shipped. Due to health and safety regulations, we cannot accept any food item back into our kitchen once it leaves our facility.

Our Quality Guarantee (Damaged or Incorrect Items)

While we do not offer refunds for change of mind or taste preference, we firmly stand behind the quality of our product and its safe delivery.

If your order arrives badly damaged, defective, or if you received the wrong item, we will fix it.

To submit a claim:

Please inspect your package right after delivery. If there's an issue, contact us within 48 hours at [support@therumsoakedcompany.com].

To process a claim, we require:

  1. Your order number.
  2. A description of the issue.
  3. Clear photo evidence of the damaged product and the shipping box is required. (Photos are necessary for us to file claims with our shipping carriers).

Depending on the situation, we are happy to provide a replacement shipment at no cost or a store credit. Full refunds to the original payment method are only issued in rare cases at our sole discretion.

What We Cannot Cover

Please understand that as a small business shipping a perishable product, there are certain situations beyond our control in which we cannot offer refunds or replacements.

  • Taste Preference: Our authentic recipe is rich, dense, and heavily rum-soaked. We cannot issue refunds simply because the flavor profile does not suit your personal taste.
  • Shipping Delays: While we ship on time, we cannot be responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers (UPS/USPS), especially during the busy holiday season. Additionally, we are not responsible for packages that are stolen after confirmed delivery.
  • Incorrect Addresses: We are not responsible for failed deliveries caused by incorrect or incomplete shipping addresses provided at checkout. Please triple-check your information.
